Using contextual teaching and learning (CTL) approach to improve students' speaking ability

The objective of this research is to investigate the implementation Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) improve students’ speaking skills in aspects accuracy, clarity, fluency. This employed a quantitative method nature. A pre-experimental design with pre-test post-test was used. population all second-year students. sample one classes chosen by using purposive sampling technique. instrument used test: post-test. data collected were analyzed statistically. results showed that contextual teaching learning improved terms result Wilcoxon value Asymp. Sig (2-tailed) for fluency 0.000 which means resulting test less than minimum requirements statistics range (0.05). Therefore, use CTL very beneficial students their skills. Thus, hypothesis accepted. There significant improvement after they taught CTL.
